Firehole River Murder

Former university president, Parker Williams, opens a fly shop in West Yellowstone, Montana. While providing fly-fishing guide services on the Firehole River in Yellowstone National Park to a group of university presidents, he discovers the body of one of the presidents. An autopsy reveals the dead president was murdered.

Considered a prime suspect, Parker sets out to clear his name and find the killer. Aided by a female Assistant Superintendent of Yellowstone National Park and often one step ahead of the FBI agent in charge of the investigation and the local Sheriff’s department officer assigned to the case, the murder seems to be a perfect crime until Parker is led to an unexpected and bizarre conclusion.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Reviews

“I wasn’t sure what think about the whole ‘fly fishing murder mystery’ concept when I picked this book up. Maybe I should have expected liking it considering I enjoy fly fishing and I love a good book, but I wasn’t sure. In short, it was a great read. You don’t have to fly fish to appreciate this book but it will reward you with familiar details if you do.

The main character, Parker Williams, is believable and likable. He’s easy-going yet attentive to detail; he’s intelligent yet humble. If he were a real person he’d have a lot of friends. And he does, a host of supporting characters that span the spectrum of personalities we encounter day-to-day in the real world. The mystery leads Parker and others down a jutting unpredictable path and takes the reader with it.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and if I have one criticism it’s that it sucked me in and I read it too fast. Fortunately it’s number one in a series.”
